The Concrete Footprints… It was 1996 when Father Saturnino Urios University, Urios College before,
applied for Level II Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) Accreditation. In the same year, there were three accredited programs the Liberal Arts, Teacher’s College and Commerce. From this stride, the academe took few more purposeful steps for
Level III accreditation and for the remaining programs who have not been accredited by
PAASCU.
The increasing demand for quality education calls the need for schools to reassess their competence. It has been a necessity for schools to apply for accreditations from accrediting agencies since it has been a requirement for academic institutions. It is through this that schools will be able to gage their performance and to identify areas where they need to improve.

“Where am I going?” One of the overrated questions asked by many but answered only by few. Sad to say, I was once one of the many. Fortunately, a light shone and took me to an answer, Father Saturnino Urios University.
The consequence of the overwhelming economic and social issues of our community gave the modern world a reason to traverse more the world of knowledge. This is perceived as the key to resolve said problems.
In the academic world, this challenge is seized. Providing quality education and competitive graduates are the ultimate objectives of institutions. Students on the other hand are craving for more intelletual discoveries and in depth development. This is where higher educational institutions came in.
The once small school in the silent region of Caraga goes on a scream as it conquers the international arena!
The breaking of the news came today when an order was received from the Bureau of Immigration granting Father Saturnino Urios University the authority to accept foreign students. The order was dated August 30, 2007 signed by Commissioner Marcelino C. Libanan.

‘Who will stay up to the Finals?’ This is the prime question that circled around the Debate Competition between the Arts & Sciences Program and the Nursing Program.
The Haggenburg Hall, the debate’s venue, was filled up with two thirds of nursing students during the championship round. Heat was flaring up when the motion was given 30 minutes before the debate proper. The motion was: This house believes that the US withdrawal of troops in Iraq is best for the Middle East.
